The Catholic Rosary Privacy Policy

Android · com.gigafishapps.holyrosary · Version 6.2.0 (200030) · Updated October 17, 2026

The Catholic Rosary is provided by GigafishApps IT. It works without an account, and its prayer content is available offline. Your saved prayer calendar remains on your device. The app uses Google advertising services and offers separate, optional choices for usage statistics and crash reports.

Information kept on your device

The prayer calendar stores the date and time of each saved completion and a randomly generated session reference used to prevent duplicate saves. The app calculates daily, weekly and total counts from these local records. It does not send your calendar records, completion dates or totals to GigafishApps or Firebase.

The app also stores privacy choices and the state needed to keep your place when Android recreates a screen. Android cloud backup is disabled for this version. You can remove local information by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or uninstalling it; this also removes your saved calendar.

Optional usage statistics

Share usage statistics is off by default. If you enable it, Google Analytics for Firebase processes general app-use measurements so GigafishApps can understand where the app is useful and where its operation can be improved. These include screen openings, time in the reader, scrolling milestones, use of navigation shortcuts, advertising loading and display results, and revenue values reported by the advertising SDK.

These measurements can include a randomly generated app-instance identifier, app and device information, timestamps and technical session information. They are not anonymous. Because this is a Rosary app, information about using its reader can indicate an interest in religious content. The app does not attach prayer names, prayer text, chosen mysteries, calendar dates or totals, or text you enter in an ad report to these events.

This app disables advertising-ID collection by Firebase Analytics and does not enable Analytics advertising-personalisation or remarketing signals. AdMob processes advertising information separately under the advertising choices above.

You can decline usage statistics and still use the app. To withdraw consent, open Privacy options, clear Share usage statistics and save your choices. The app stops future Analytics collection and resets its local Analytics identifier. This does not itself delete information already received by Google.

Optional crash reports

Share crash reports is also off by default. If you enable it, Firebase Crashlytics can receive technical error reports containing stack traces, app and device details, application state and a randomly generated installation identifier. Where both usage statistics and crash reporting are enabled, reports may include recent general app events to help diagnose a problem. These reports help GigafishApps investigate failures.

Reports are sent when you next open the app with crash reporting enabled. Changing the diagnostic choice removes pending reports on the device. The app does not add your prayer history, prayer text or the text of your ad reports to crash reports. You can withdraw this choice in Privacy options without losing access to the app. Withdrawal stops future reporting; it does not automatically remove reports already sent.

Google documents its Firebase processing in Firebase privacy and security and Firebase Android data disclosures.

Reporting an advertisement or contacting us

To help identify a problematic advertisement, the app keeps details of up to three recent ads locally. A record may include the ad response ID, ad source, display time, format, app version, Android version and device model. A newer record replaces the oldest one.

Report an ad problem lets you review these details and add a description. Open email opens your email application with a draft addressed to hello@gigafishapps.com. The app does not send it automatically. If you send it, we receive your email address, your message and the included diagnostic details. We use them to respond and investigate; relevant ad details may be provided to Google to investigate the advertisement. Copy report copies the draft to your device clipboard only when you select that action.

Retention, security and your requests

Local calendar records and preferences remain until you clear the app's storage or uninstall it. Recent ad details are limited to three records. Google services transmit SDK data using encrypted connections.

Our Google Analytics property is configured to retain event-level and user-level data for 14 months. The user-data retention period resets when new activity is recorded. These settings do not determine the retention of most standard reports based on aggregated data. Firebase keeps Crashlytics crash traces and associated installation identifiers for 90 days before beginning their removal from live and backup systems. Advertising information is subject to Google's advertising retention policies.

We retain support correspondence for the time needed to handle the issue and any related follow-up, or longer where a legal obligation requires it. Contact privacy@gigafishapps.com to request access, correction or deletion of personal information we hold, or to ask about a privacy choice. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, request portability, withdraw consent and complain to your data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out before withdrawal.

Some SDK information is linked to a random installation identifier rather than your email address. We may need enough information to identify records before we can act on a request. The app has no GigafishApps account to delete. Google's privacy tools and policies also describe controls over information Google handles in its own capacity.

Google and its service providers may process information outside your country. Their privacy documentation explains their processing locations and safeguards for international transfers. Websites and email applications you choose to open have their own privacy practices.

Children and policy changes

This app is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through support correspondence. Contact privacy@gigafishapps.com if you believe a child has provided such information.

We update this notice when the app or its data practices change. The date and version at the top identify the release described here. Older installed versions may have different features and advertising behaviour.
