Effective date: 22 October 2026. Catholic Novenas is provided under the GigafishApps trading name, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@gigafishapps.com.
You can use the prayers and calendar without creating an account. Saved novenas, completion dates, reminders, bookmarks and preferences are stored on your device. They may also be included in Android device backup or transfer according to your device settings. We do not operate a server containing your prayer history.
If you connect Google backup, the app asks permission to use its own hidden application-data folder in your Google Drive. It uploads and restores your novena progress, including dates, reminder settings and any saved intentions. This can reveal religious practice, so connect only if you want this information stored in your Google account. The app does not request access to your ordinary Drive documents, photos or email. Your Google email address may be displayed locally to identify the connected account. Access tokens are used for the connection and are not written to application logs.
You can pause backup in the app. Pausing does not delete earlier backups. To remove the cloud copy, use Google Drive on the web: Settings, Manage apps, find the GigafishApps or Catholic Novenas connection, then Options, Delete hidden app data; also disconnect access in your Google account if you no longer want it. Android automatic backup is controlled separately in your device settings. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes the local copy; a device backup may restore it later.
The free app uses Google AdMob. An advertisement may appear while opening the app and after you save a completed prayer day. Ads are not placed inside the prayer text. AdMob may collect or share an IP address, approximate location derived from it, advertising or device identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic information to deliver and measure advertisements and prevent fraud. Depending on your location and choices, Google provides a privacy message and a Privacy options entry in Settings. Ad choices are separate from optional app diagnostics. Advertising identifiers and personalization are handled by Google subject to those choices and applicable requirements.
If an ad is disturbing or difficult to close, use Settings, Report an ad. The app prepares an email containing recent ad response identifiers and technical details to help investigate the ad. You review and send that email yourself. Include only information you want to share with us.
With your permission, Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics receive information about app sessions, screens, completed steps, reminders, advertising performance, device and operating-system details, installation identifiers and crashes. These help us understand reliability and improve the app. We do not send private intentions, selected novena identifiers, search text, prayer text, Google account details or backup contents as analytics parameters. We do not use prayer activity to create advertising audiences.
This collection is off until you allow it. You can change the choice in Settings, Usage and diagnostics. Turning it off stops future optional collection and resets the local Analytics instance; previously transmitted information remains subject to the service's retention settings and policies. AdMob's advertising measurement is separate and is governed by its privacy controls.
Google processes the information needed for the services described above and may process it in countries other than yours. Google connections use HTTPS. Local prayer history is kept until you remove it, uninstall the app or clear app storage; your own cloud backups remain until removed. We keep support correspondence as needed to respond to your request and resolve the issue. We do not sell your prayer history.
You can use the app without Google backup or optional diagnostics, change advertising privacy choices where available, control notifications in Android settings, and remove local or cloud history as described above. For access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests concerning information you have sent directly to us, contact hello@gigafishapps.com. Do not send private prayers or passwords. Depending on your location, you may have additional data-protection rights and may contact your local supervisory authority.
The app is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a child has sent personal information directly to us.

Updated 26 October 2026
This section applies to the iOS app provided under the GigafishApps trading name, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@gigafishapps.com.
You can read all prayers and use the calendar without creating an app account. Your selected novenas, saved prayer days, reading positions, badges, reminders and preferences are stored on your device.
If you enable “Back up with iCloud”, a copy of your prayer history and settings is stored in your own iCloud account and can be restored on your Apple devices using the same account. Prayer history can reveal religious practice; enable this option only if you want that information stored in iCloud. The app uses its own iCloud document container. It does not request access to your email, contacts, photos or unrelated iCloud documents. We do not operate a server containing this history or receive its contents as analytics.
Turning backup off stops future syncing from this app but does not remove an existing cloud copy. You can manage the app’s iCloud data in your Apple account’s iCloud storage settings. Device backups are controlled separately by iOS. Uninstalling the app removes local app data, but an existing device or iCloud backup may remain. iCloud requires a signed-in Apple account, iCloud Drive and available storage.
The iOS app uses Google AdMob for an ad at opening and an interstitial after saving a prayer day. There are no ads within the prayer text. AdMob may process your IP address, approximate location derived from it, advertising or device identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic or performance information for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention.
Google’s regional consent message and Settings → Privacy options control the available advertising choices. Where applicable, iOS separately asks permission for tracking. You can decline and continue using the app; declining does not remove ads. You can change tracking permission in the iOS Settings app.
“Share usage and crash reports” is off by default. If you turn it on, Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics receive technical and usage information such as general screens opened, ad events, installation identifiers, device and operating-system details, and crash reports. We do not send prayer text, private intentions, selected novena identifiers, search terms or prayer-history contents as analytics parameters. Turning this option off stops future optional collection. Previously sent information remains subject to the services’ retention settings. AdMob’s own advertising measurement has separate privacy controls.
Settings → Report an ad prepares an email with recent advertising response identifiers and technical details. You review the message and send it yourself. You may choose a screenshot through the system photo picker. We receive the email address and information you choose to send, and retain support correspondence as needed to respond and investigate. Do not include private prayers, passwords or payment details. Use hello@gigafishapps.com for privacy questions and requests.
Apple and Google process information required for their services under their own policies. The iOS-specific choices above supplement the general contact, security, children and service-information sections of this policy. There is no account-registration requirement or in-app subscription in this release.
